COLUMBUS, Ohio —
Following the state of Ohio’s official release of the latest School Report Cards, Concept Schools' regional campuses discovered multiple reasons to celebrate their academic successes. The charter network’s high-quality, STEM-focused schools have proven consistent academic excellence and have outperformed local traditional public schools across key performance metrics.
For the 2026 report, Concept Schools’ locations in the Columbus region continued to demonstrate forward progression. Over the last four years, three Horizon Science Academy campuses, as well as Noble Academy in Columbus, have consistently posted higher Performance Index (PI) scores in comparison to the surrounding Columbus City Schools district.
“We are certainly proud of this accomplishment,” remarked Murat Efe, Ohio Regional Superintendent for Concept Schools, “though we also acknowledge that our efforts are the result of the engagement and empowerment of an entire community. We aspire to create an academic environment by which every student excels in their own capacity, and where future success is measured through impact, involvement, and a passion for lifelong learning.”
Among the region’s standout results is Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, which earned strong ratings across multiple state performance measures.
- Post High-School Readiness: HSA Columbus High School earned a top, 5-star rating in the areas of College, Career, Workforce, and Military readiness. Notably, it is the only charter school in Franklin County - and one of only six charter schools in Ohio - to earn a 5-star rating in this category. HSA Columbus High School is also the sole public charter school in central Ohio to achieve this status.
- Graduation Rate: HSA Columbus High attained an outstanding 94.2% graduation rate, ranked as the 4th best in Franklin County and 7th statewide among charter schools.
- Overall School Rating: HSA Columbus High School earned an overall rating of 4.5. Across Franklin County, only three public schools achieved the same rating, with HSA Columbus High being the only charter school to do so.
- Ratings for Other Network Concept Schools: Horizon Science Academy Columbus Elementary, Horizon Science Academy Middle School, and Noble Academy Columbus earned a 3.5-point overall grade. Each of these schools either maintained or improved their score since 2023, proving consistency and progression of academic achievement. Concept Schools campuses in other regions of the state of Ohio also posted strong results in the latest state report cards.
The Ohio School Report Cards highlight Concept Schools’ continued concentration on rigorous STEM-focused academics, college preparation, and individual student growth, which solidifies its position as a leader in education. Additionally, all Concept Schools campuses in Columbus are recipients of the Ohio Quality Community School Support Fund, a state program which provides extra funding to qualifying, high-performing community schools.
For parents, teachers, and community members, the latest report card ratings provide undisputable evidence that Concept Schools' tuition-free, public charter campuses set and achieve exceptional standards to drive educational progression and success throughout central Ohio and beyond.
