Tutoring

Tutoring is offered 2 days a week from after school until 3:30 for students struggling in Reading and Math. Tutoring is offered to help students fill in academic gaps to promote student success. Tutoring is offered by invitation only and parents are responsible for picking up students from the building on time. No yellow bus transportation is available.

Afterschool Activities

Many academic afterschool activities are available for students to participate. CYSP- Mentoring program open to 5th grade students. Information on the program is available at the beginning of the year. Parent meetings, Saturday school with academic tutoring, community service and physical activities are all a part of the program

Science Fair and Science Demonstrations

Students use the scientific process to work through a research project. Student projects are entered into a regional fair as well as CONSEF (Concept Science and Engineering Fair)

Robotics/ VEX

Students work with mentors to build robots, designed to solve a challenge.

Math Olympiads, Demonstrations and Contests

Students participate in many math competitions throughout the year as well as design a project based on Math principles.

Technology

HSACE uses chromebook as a part of its instructional program. Therefore, students do have restricted use of the internet and google searches. We expect students to use the computers in the correct ways and following the instructional program. On some occasions students will need to take the chromebooks home. Use and google searches are monitored by the school even when the equipment is used at home. Please see below for our Acceptable Use Policy for all technology
